About the School
A school birthedbirthed by the Spirit
The story of School of Revival begins in 2024, when Marcus and Mariana, founders of Iris Jardim Gramacho (a missionary base of the Iris Global ministry), visited Moriah Chapel — the small church where Evan Roberts used to gather and where the Welsh Revival began.
There, listening to a sweet lady tasked with telling the revival's story to visitors, they felt a mix of emotions. On one hand their hearts were on fire hearing all of it; on the other, they were indignant to realize that the Church today knows almost nothing of what was being told in that moment.

Deep, fire-filled teachings on 20 great revivals in Church history — from the Moravians to Azusa, Wales to the Jesus Movement, the Hebrides to Asbury. All of it immersed in deep times of worship, intercession, and seeking the face of God.

Iris Global is a Christian missionary organization founded in 1995 by Rolland and Heidi Baker.
The story of our ministry is intertwined with four different revivals — in fact, one of our ministry values is to “seek revival among the poor.”
It all began in China in 1924, when H.A. Baker, Rolland's grandfather (also a missionary), started an orphanage in the city of Kotchiu. Life was moving along normally when the Holy Spirit fell simultaneously on the 40 orphans living in the house, granting them detailed visions of biblical events, of Heaven, and countless other supernatural experiences. Weeks later those children began preaching boldly through the streets of China under a powerful anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Jardim Gramacho is a neighborhood in the city of Duque de Caxias (RJ, Brazil) that for more than 30 years hosted the largest landfill in Brazil: the Gramacho Dump.
At the peak of its operation, roughly 4,000 people worked day and night picking recyclable materials among the 8,000 tons of trash dumped daily from Rio de Janeiro and neighboring cities.
Our ministry began here in 2010, in Quatro Rodas — the poorest community in the neighborhood — where we planted a local church called Igreja Jardim de Deus. Years later Jesus opened another door and we started a second missional front, this time in Remanso, an area concentrating young men from the drug trade. There, in addition to a local house church, a house of prayer was also planted.
